I biked during the heavy snow fall we had, that all melted and then it turned cold. I biked to work, but the chain on my bike broke. I took it to my bike shop to fix and they told me I had somehow stripped the bottom bracket attachment rings in the frame. No one knows how I did it but I needed a new front crank and bottom bracket that fit into such a stripped bottom bracket. Two weeks later the parts finally came in and my bike was ready to be ridden, but in the mean time the cold snap had come and gone.
My Cannondale had my 26 inch studded tires on it. In the cold and ice condition I dare NOT ride my other bike, which only had on slicks.r the cold weather had passed, the bike store told me my bike was fixed. I had to drive to work for over a week till my bike with studs was repaired. By the time that bike was repaired, the snow was gone, the weather was breaking into the 50s so I could use my bike with slicks in addition to by bike with studs. I hate people who could go into the snow when I can not.
Just kidding, but I had to complain about my bike being in the shop.
