long wheel base recumbent, but if I get it now I'd have to put it on a credit card.

I already have one LWB recumbent and a diamond frame bike (Transeo), and consider a credit card purchase (for another bicycle) at this time would be imprudent. Many people would agree with that (especially my wife.)
