Dear Madcap,

This literally took my breath away!

In my mind, I kept trying to distinguish the era. Chattled Slavery 1776-1865. Greenwood District of Tulsa 1921? Maybe Internment of Japanese Americans 1942 or Nazi Germany 1933-1945? Or maybe just the entire UNITED STATES 2025?

What a most stunning and deeply moving poem! I felt it to my soul!
