the manipulation is intentionally dishonest with the label of "children".

18 and 19 year olds are not children, they are adults. And in the case of this data set, these adult acts are almost all gang violence.

This data manipulation does not make the problems any less important. However, the manipulation makes it harder to separate the multiple the problems, which require separate solutions. This level of honesty does tend to undermine the agendas of many anti-gun organizations.
