1. I'll point out that India's "intentional homicide rate" isn't much lower then the U.S.

India has a murder rate of 3.2 and 41,263 murders in 2014; The U.S. had a murder rate of 3.9 and 12,253 murders in 2013. Note that these are the total number of ALL murders, regardless of the method or tool used.

Overall, of 218 countries, by murder rate the United States is ranked 112th & India is ranked 127th
