I don't think anyone really believes your malarky, that chicago has more stringent gun control compared with L.A. and New York City. You are living in denial, living in the past. LA & NYC have stricter gun control laws than chicago does.

Calif, may be similar to Illinois: No Concealed Firearms in Schools.. bans gun owners from carrying concealed handguns at K-12 schools and colleges. California law states that one may receive a permit to carry concealed if the person is "of good moral character" and good cause exists to issue the permit. in areas surrounding SF and Los Angeles "good cause" is very difficult to prove. One area Illinois bests NY in gun control, is a child access prevention law {CAP}, safe storage law, NY does not have one. California has a CAP law which is more stringent than Illinois.
