Donna has had a strong record on LGBTQ issues since she entered Congress in 2008. She supported repeal of DADT, fought to protect employees against discrimination based on sexual orientation in 2009, aggressively championed same-sex marriage in 2012, fought to combat sexual identity discrimination in public schools and reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act of 2013 with special provisions protecting lesbians and transgender individuals from abuse. I personally think the world of her. Right now, she needs boots-on-the-ground support to fight a very well-funded Congressman from Montgomery County, Chris Van Hollen.
