3. Thus destroying my dad's WWII record

He rarely talked about the war, of course, so all I've ever known is he was a batallion medic, a first sergeant in the ETO.

He once told me he was in France, Germany and Czechoslovakia. I learned much later he was sent to aid survivors in a concentration camp, which explains why he was in Czechoslovakia.

I heard once he was awarded the Silver Star, but there's no way of knowing whether that's true. I'd give anything to know his complete war record.
