13. Following a snow storm in NYC

I took our cocker spaniel, Bubba— the dumbest dog who ever lived— for a walk in Central Park. Suddenly, he lunged into a snow bank and proudly came up with half a ham sandwich! He chomped it down before I could stop him. He was so proud of himself.

For YEARS afterward, every time we walked past that spot, regardless of the time of year, Bubba would hopefully look for another sandwich.

Maybe he wasn’t so dumb after all!

Poor Dunc did not get his second breakfast. He found it, so technically it was his. Now the spoils will go to another. MLAA Jul 23 #3
