1. Cover them with some soil conditioner, which is super finely chopped up pinebark.

I use Evergreen Soil Conditioner, which I get at Lowe's. I also use this, as well as similar products, to condition planting beds, condition soil when planting woody trees and shrubs, mulch both perennial and annual beds, mulch container plants, and mix 50-50 with potting soil for container plantings.

Soil conditioner will protect the bulbs, condition the soil, and look good!

My bulbs are also coming up here in Northeast Georgia.
