Question about fava beans [View all]

We planted fava beans for the first time year. The plants grew nicely to about 3-4 feet tall and and lots of buds on them. The first few pods we picked were very good. But after that, almost all he other pods were empty. They were as large as the first pods that had beans in them and even had bumps where the beans would be, but hollow inside. What went wrong?
