In the Sierra Foothills, we just had a few days cooling after temps in the 90's.
And it's the season for clearing dry grass 100 feet from the home, per Cal Fire regulations.

You can only work early in the morning. Nights are cool but all summer and most of spring and fall are bone-dry.

A neighbor came to help with some tree trimming, and I was amazed that he carried a backpack.

What the heck? I checked it out and it had something cold inside.

Usually, thermal mass equates to weighty mass, but I didn't ask what it was.

Trader Joe's used to sell bottles of water, frozen. It was neat.
They don't leak, and when they thaw, you can drink the water.
But it was a waste of valuable freezer space for them to sell 29 cent items, so they stopped.

So do it at home.
