At the local butcher it's about $2.00-2.50 per pound in a bulk package (3 pounds or more). I usually make 3 patties to a pound, though, because port has more fat and there's more shrinkage. That makes the equivalent about $3.00-3.25 a pound. Still cheaper than beef.
