She passed away in 1972, and took the recipe with her. 
We couldn't find it written down anywhere.
These cookies look like they might be close, but they require peanut butter.
I am not a cook or a baker, so could anybody on this board make a suggestion as to how I might incorporate peanut butter into the recipe? I don't know how much I should use, should I lessen any other ingredients? I have everything in the house except shortening. Figures!
