An enhanced driver's license (EDL) is a type of identification that serves as both a driver's license and an identity card, allowing for limited passport features, such as international land and sea travel to certain countries. It is compliant with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative and is accepted for domestic flights and entry into federal facilities if it meets REAL ID standards.
