My grandmother had horrible attacks of diverticulitis. I worked at her beauty shop every day after school and all day on Saturday; I often stayed the night with her on top of that, so I got to know how bad it affected her.

I hate ER's so bad, I'll refuse to go unless I've broken a bone or there's enough blood I can't swathe it with bandages and make it stop. It was bad enough here in my little town, but then they closed the last "hospital" here and now you've got to drive all the way into Kansas City to go to the ER. At this point it's... "you gotta be kidding me"... I'll be on my death bed before I head to a hospital again! (knock on wood... famous last words and all...)
