3. The parathyroid doesn't regulate metabolism, but the thyroid does.

It could have something to do with glucose tolerance and insulin secretion though because the parathyroid can , and that could make you feel cold or hot throughout the day depending on what was happening with glucose levels. I know parathyroid hormone levels can affect glucose metabolism and my glucose levels make a difference in how hot/cold I feel.
