Anyone have an ankle fusion? [View all]

or know someone who had this done
My ortho surgeon wants to do this surgery and I've read of wonderful results and of pain that is worse and lasts for years. I'm scheduled for March 31st and have time to change my mind. See the ortho in a couple of weeks.
My ankle is broken in several places and not healing very much. It's almost a year. There has also been movement side to side and forward. Very little pain right now. Can stand but not walk.
