I made it through the recent storm.
It was a doozy!
I lost my fence which is close to 80' long and I managed to find someone to come over and shore it up for the time being.
About two years ago I was given a small generator to use due to my disability.
Yesterday, I heard from someone that thinks they should have one too as they have "MS-like symptoms".
I can never understand WHY someone would hope they have multiple sclerosis to get a few things here and there.
Being my condition is greatly affected by the temperature, I get help from the power company.
I resent others that attempt to play the system to get things they want and don't care to pay for.
This person has the ability to pay for a generator, I know that much.
In the meantime, that fence is going to cost a lot of money to replace. So far the insurance is offering me a few crumbs and I have to fight it out with them. I am in no great condition to have to argue with anyone right now.
How difficult would it be to set-up a Go Fund Me account to help with some of these expenses, including a bed I had to buy on doctor's orders? The adjustable bed I had was made in China and there was basically no warranty on it and it was falling apart. They hauled that away the other day for $25 and delivered the new bed. It seems to be better but its difficult to really tell as I'm in so much pain from the illness and the bad fall I took last week.
Given all of the losses from last year due to the death of my husband and my income being cut almost in half, I don't know how long I can hang-on like this.
I seem to be ok but I still have face pain from where my glasses hit me and bruised my face up.
Thank you everyone for your support. It means a lot to me.
