I doubt that's possible, but fortunately that isn't necessary. The red lines certainly do not "wind out far ahead of the ejection" and you can't reinterpret them enough to change the fact that these ejections look like pneumatic jets and not like explosions. I do believe that anyone who takes the time to watch some actual CDs on YouTube and objectively compare them -- and to think about why they look different -- can see what I'm talking about. I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
