A quick Google search shows that the asteroid won't be impacting Earth.

Actually, I can't recall the link, but My Son The Astronomer has sent me one that shows essentially a zero chance of anything impacting Earth for the next 10,000 years.

Okay, over the long term we know that asteroids will crash into the planet. They do happen. And sometimes, as in 65 million or so years ago, a really large one hits and wipes out most of the life on the planet. But in the shorter time frame? Not very likely.
