I have always only owned cars that get pretty good gas mileage (current car is 2004 Honda Civic, I'm on a road trip and getting 37mpg, not a record, but not bad) and I have never understood owning any one of the many gas guzzlers out there. And I REALLY don't understand the fact that when gas prices drop for a bit, apparently a lot of people decide, "What the hell, I may as well buy that SUV that gets 12mpg at best."
