9. I seriously doubt anyone took them seriously enough to be too damaged by it

These ladies were on a crusade against sodomy (very specifically oral sex), they were absolutely fixated on it. Their argument was that any woman who participated in such acts with a man was merely an unpaid prostitute and damaged the standing of all women in the world.
