I do sympathize with the gas lines/shortage. Back in '08, there were a number of hurricanes in the gulf that ultimately led to shortages, lines, and $4/gallon gas in Atlanta. It was not a well covered story at the time, but it goes to show how fragile our every day life is when something gets disrupted. I called my Republican Congressmen's office at the time, and they blew me off, saying it was a state issue.
