And too many "smart people" have bought into the ongoing stupid. I do want to scream when I see one of my favorite writers put a headline like this on a column "If Hillary endorses so and so, she loses my vote." How special. Thank you for holding Hillary to a super-duper gold standard of perfection that you would NEVER hold a male candidate.

This morning I woke to npr telling me about some supposedly sketchy emails between Hillary's campaign and the foundation. Must be something there, right? Then the female reporter made sure I understood that we had two of the MOST unpopular candidates running for president in 2016.

That toxicity has drifted into DU. I was deeply troubled during the primaries when I kept seeing posts that reflected right-wing accusations. We should know better, but decades of the drumbeat from the right (which has gone on without question or challenge from M$M) has done its damage.
