9. I disagree. Politics does involve forming coalitions, compromising, etc.

But this goes way beyond that, and has not occurred when male candidates have won decisively (or even by small margins, as in 2008). And we certainly do not see anything like this happening on the Republican side, even though Trump clearly is facing a much more divided party.
