Thanks for posting!

Women couldn't even vote at the federal level in Switzerland until 1971!!!!

Since then, however, Switzerland has had five women Presidents. One, Micheline Calmy-Rey of the Social Democratic Party, even served twice. Switzerland is a multi-party democracy and a very small country. Swiss Presidents have one-year terms and there is a rotation system.

And yes, the country is still standing.
