IF there are any campaign funds left after he drops out, it would be a really nice gesture, and buy them a bunch of good will, if they set up a scholarship fund for the Burlington College students who have been left high and dry.

I believe the law allows campaign funds to be donated to a charitable organization after a candidate drops out. Shoot, they could even work Bernie's massive donor database, ask them each for $5, and have a pretty hefty scholarship fund.

No one even has to admit fault...just say it is because Jane loves Burlington college so much, Bernie values higher education so much, they are both so invested in Vermont, etc....that they want to help these students out. A mini "free college tuition" demonstration.

Shoot, Bernie could have dropped out a while ago, when the writing was on the wall and he still had tons of money, donated millions to Burlington College, and saved it altogether! That would have been pretty slick.
