No one is posting about the amazing headway we made in recent days in DC, with Obama's masterful handling of Congress and flying the Sandy Hook parents in for scenes straight out of Mr. Smith goes to Washington. Nope, fuck that (much to the relief of the gungeoneers here). Instead, everyone here is in a tizzy over something that has not happened--SS cuts. They claim this is unprecedented, never happened before, even though SS cuts were ACTUALLY signed into law by other Dem presidents, namely Carter and Clinton (not just suggested as a bargaining chip to save the social programs for the poor).
