. . . how many tire tracks did the minority screechers put on Wyden's back when they threw him under the bus?
Ya know, Senator Wyden, that reliably liberal bastard from Oregon!
If there were a Senator more liberal than Wyden, I would think of Frank Church, but then, he's dead now, ain't he?

I watched a tv program the other night about the Church Committees that investigated the FBI in 1975 concerning the surveillance overreaches the FBI had engaged in for decades under J. Edgar Hoover, the origins of which dated clear back to the mid-1950s, during the red scare days.
It all started with a Freedom of Information Act request from the FBI for their Cointelpro program.

Fritz Mondale was on those committees!
Man, did he look young back then!
What a great Senator Mondale was.
And a great Vice President, too.
