Beautiful heartfelt pictures. That second picture. I love that. The children holding the candles, they are not weeping, they smile. They smile because they know they are safer for all that TaTa did for them.

Tata – This isiXhosa word means “father” and is a term of endearment that many South Africans use for Mr Mandela. Since he is a father figure to many, they call him Tata regardless of their own age.

I love the fact that the memorial will be held at a soccer stadium. I may be able to watch some of it, I work at 2. However I have to vote before work so will have to be getting ready earlier that usual.

I would love that you read this...sadly it was for the most part viewed by none. I was the only one that rec'ed it. The Nelson Mandela Foundation. It's worth the look.
