In an interview with ABC's Barbara Walters, President Barack Obama said he and his family may remain in Washington, D.C., after he leaves office. Obama said his younger daughter Sasha, who will be a sophomore in high school when his second term ends in 2016, will have a "big say" in the family's decision.
"You know we gotta make sure that shes doin well
until she goes off to college, said Obama. Sasha will have a big say in where we are.
If Obama remains in Washington after his presidency, he would be the first president since Woodrow Wilson to do so. Prior to taking office, Obama and his family lived in Chicago. Obama added that his family would have input on the decision since his daughters and First Lady Michelle Obama had made "sacrifices" for his career.
"Cause shes, you know, obviously they and Michelle have made a lot of sacrifices on behalf of my cockamamie ideas, the running for office and things, he said.
