When I first tried, I couldn't download this video. So glad I tried again and it worked. I lived through all that, and even at my advanced age, my memories are crystal clear. The day JFK died--can't begin to describe it. The day MLK Jr. died--same thing. I had just watched RFK speak in the Ambassador following his CA victory (he'd just been in WA and Oregon), and I saw Rosie Greer standing just behind Bobby, and remember thinking, no one will get close to him with Rosie by his side. Just minutes later, of course, the terrible news broke. My husband worked with a young man who'd attended Bobby's rally in Seattle, after which he came to work, right hand raised, and remarked, "I just shook hands with Bobby Kennedy. I'm never gonna wash it again!" He was beaming. Then completely crushed only days later.

As for my own journey through bigotry and prejudiced, I finally screwed up the courage to write about it awhile back. Let's just say, I felt better about myself. This video really touched my heart. Sorry this message is so long. Felt led to share! And--thanks again for posting.
