5. I believe if you put it on your 'icloud' or whatever it's called you can then get a URL to it

That you can copy/paste into a DU post. It should start w/http and end with .jpg or .gif. Then DU can grab it from the web and display it.

You may have to make it 'public' in some way, I dunno, I've never used Apple or it's cloud service.

Alternatively you can upload it to an image hosting site like imgur or google photos or flickr and get a URL to the photo from there.
