3. It's the old story, what do you want to do with it?

Mostly at home with just occasional travel? Heavy graphics/or number crunching? Get the hot rod fast with big memory.
Mostly travel with emails and internet? get the air...
Like I said what do you want to do with it? You can always go down to the apple store and talk with a person there and get some ideas, they are usually great... Also you get included service and "how do I do this" questions answered for a year... I switched years ago and have never looked back.
One thing about the mac is sometimes it's too simple. Coming from windows I would be looking for a complicated answer when it was right there in front of me... Like when you hear the sound of hoof beats, don't go looking for zebras....
