Can't get Adobe Type 1 fonts to load in Mountain Lion (OS 10.8). . . [View all]

I'm attempting to load Adobe Type 1 fonts on a new Mac with OS 10.8.1.

On my old machine (Mac Pro with 10.5.8), Suitcase Fusion 12.1.7 ran fine the last four years, and easily handled all of my fonts (I have several thousand).

I upgraded to Suitcase Fusion 4 this morning, ran my fonts through Font Doctor, and found that many of them are "incompatible with this OS." But its not all of them, and in many cases half a family has been approved but the rest won't load. And the family was all purchased at the same time, so it's not like I have different versions mixed in the folders.

I've tried to load them manually without using Font Doctor but no go. Using Goudy Oldstyle as my test font, I can only get 6 faces out of a total family of 15 to load.

I tried to load them using Font Book, but no go either. Only 4 fonts will load there.

Anyone know anything about this incompatibility issue?
