5. Yogurt is easy

I've been making it for years. All you need to do is take some already yogurt out to get to room temperature, boil milk, let it cool to about 80 degrees, mix the two together. Put it in something like a Mason jar, wrap it in a towell and let it sit for from 6 to 12 hours. Depending on your culture it will be thick or thin. You can strain it to make it thicker.

I had stopped making it for a while due to the ready availability of it, but noticed much of the commercial stuff tasted like powdered milk. Also, they add thickeners and other things to it, so back to making my own again.

some people like their cultures. I just use a good one with live cultures from the health food store.
