Based on his personality and history in the private sector and government it is hard not to describe him as anything other than a vile, wicked creature. He has been referred to as a “ career psychopath” by many of his peers and has displayed hypocrisy on many political stances, known to deny saying or doing some of the things on record. He was the director of VoteLeave and his sentiments for his position were based mostly on his own prejudices. He is an ardent Russophile, fluent in Russian, and had lived there for a few years. Though publicly against EU monetary subsidies , referring to them as “ absurd”, he himself received €250,000 in farm subsidies from the EU for an investment farm he co-owns with a partner. He has proclaimed to be a libertarian, then not, a conservative, though often critical of their stances, and not a member of any affiliated party! His lack of care and empathy for others has been displayed often, including violating Covid lockdown measures that were meant for all. This kind of politician is a danger to peace anywhere, and unfortunately it is being seen in his lack of concern to the residents of Northern Ireland.
