Time was when a billionaire who spent most of his time out-of-state and exported jobs out of his state would be a doomed candidate. In the post-truth decades following Dubya’s election, voters, particularly right-wing voters, are more than willing to let such things slide, even when their personal interests are at stake. All a right-wing scam artist/politico has to say are things like “Transsexuals!”, “”Woke!”, “Liberal!”, and G*d have mercy on the rubes and rube-ettes at the ballot box, they coast to easy victories!
