Black Bears are booming up Nort' hey [View all]

Its been a banner year for bruins in the Northwoods. Everyone is talking about them visiting and posting pics online

I guess last Fall there was a banner acorn drop and that caused 2 things: 1. The bears loaded up on protein. Many sows are followed by 3 cubs this Spring.
2. The bears were staying away from the bait hunters donut piles because of natural forage, so the bear hunting harvest was down.

We have had 4 visitors on several occasions. A HUGE female maybe 400lbs with 2 cubs, and a mid-sized male about 200lbs.
We see Bears roadside everywhere we go it seems

Hopefully when the berries come in they will stay out of peoples yard
