buffet for years. I would fashion a ground round snowman with the thin-sliced onion rings around the bottom as snow. Black olives for the eyes and a carrot nose. Also, back in the day when weddings served brunch after church and then a big dinner at the reception hall and then a midnight snack just before leaving with your wrapped piece of the wedding cake. It was ground round on rye with raw onions and salt/pepper. I am a true Wisconsinite. When you grow up like that it all makes perfect sense!
