Live results: Wisconsin's 7th Congressional district special election

First results expected at 9:30 p.m. ET

Updated at 8:40 p.m. EDT

Wisconsin is holding a special election for the state’s 7th Congressional District. The district, which is the largest in the state by area and mostly rural, was previously represented by Republican Sean Duffy, who left office in September.

State senator Tom Tiffany won the Republican primary for this seat in February, while Tricia Zunker, president of the Wausau School Board and Associate Justice of the Ho-Chunk Nation Supreme Court, won the Democratic primary. Republicans are generally favored to win this seat.
