77,000 acres is about 120 square miles, or in total a 12 mile x 10 mile area (if contiguous). By comparison, Washington state is about 71,362 square miles.

I’m sure other land in the state are also protected, but some are under various threats (e.g. our federal government eager to strip resources from everything they can).

So sad to see our wild lands disappearing.
