The NSF is only one of MANY institutions of intellectual heft and import that are going to bleed out due to the love affair of the press and the dumbest 35% of the population with the axiom that their idiotic hunches and guesses and beliefs are equal to scientific method results, peer review and the essential search for more understanding.
