So how come NJ voters are going for both Booker and Christie this year? [View all]

RealClearPolitics' average of this month's polls shows a 24-point edge for current Gov. Chris Christie. This after Cory Booker won the special election for Frank Lautenberg's former senate seat by 11 points. How could that be? A lot of people in NJ are low-info independents voting strictly on name recognition? Left-leaning moderates who don't mind Christie being a "RINO"? Buono being a weak candidate? What is going on?
