5. I, too, live on the edge of a river.

The lawn is about twenty feet above water in normal circumstances but the house did flood in 1996 (before my time here). The river is very tidal even though about eighty miles up from the ocean. I know how it is to keep an eye on the water at certain times. A tropical storm is a whole new level, though.
