But aren't they supposed to monitor the vital signs of a person being transported? If so, these two were negligent in multiple ways.

I'm sure it's no fun to deal with a detoxing drunk who may be hallucinating and whatever else, but alcoholism IS a disease, and their job is to safely transport sick people to a medical facility.

I would say, "If you don't want to do all aspects of your job properly, find a different line of work." But that advice would be too late for this pair.
