12. A VERY worthy and welcome lesson: a clap out. NOT a walkout.

Thinking and writing creatively and strategically! That’s what we need, and that’s what we need MORE of! Calling it a “clap out” sounds a lot less threatening or extreme or disruptive than a walkout might seem or suggest.

Know what the opponents say and how they say it, AND have the messaging ready to refute (or turn on its ear) what points they’re trying to make. SUPER important, shrewd, and strategic. The Repubs have had awhile to build this awareness and verbal musculature, while unfortunately, Dems have taken awhile to recognize and understand the word wars. But once we do, we’re powerful as can be.

However, right now it’s about making sure our Dems are waking up, or already have awakened.

And btw, some of the visuals in this thread tell the story quite eloquently. Crowds! Crowds with great homemade protest signs and slogans! All very useful, ingenious, real, and ready to borrow!
