1. The important part is keeping them engaged with Dem & liberal issues

As long as the independents remain engaged they will continue to vote D. I was an independent myself for many years until I became a Democrat in 2008. But I always voted D in every election.

The way I look at this, the Democratic Party and the Boards of Elections in every county throughout the US need to assure us that our registration data will remain safe and out of the hands of the evil right-wingers. Can they do that, or are they even trying? I'm not so sure.
