The song is on his album "Past, Present, and Future"; several of the songs on the album talk about historical stuff. "Road to Moscow" tells the story of WW2 on the Russian Front from the perspective of a Red Army foot soldier who serves loyally for the duration, but gets shipped to the gulag because he was suspected of collusion with Nazis.
